It is a good idea to get in the habit of monitoring your car’s gauges, the temperature gauge in particular.
The temperature gauge measures the temperature inside your engine. The last thing you want to have happen is to operate the engine in an overheated state.
Ideally the needle on your gauge should be in the middle or slightly below the middle of the gauge..
If it gets much higher than this, you should have it checked as soon as possible.
If the needle starts going very very high, it is best to pull over and turn off the engine otherwise very serious and expensive damage can result.
But when it is finally time to replace your car, dont forget you can donate it to a good cause and receive the highest possible tax deduction. We can help! It’s fast and easy.
Great cars, disabled cars, even wrecks are gladly accepted. We handle all DMV paperwork and towing is always free!
